Gobble, Gobble!

Today seemed to be a special day! Our foster mom and dad were both there, and mom was really busy in that room with the shiny boxes that have doors that open and close. And, WOW, did the house smell good! Mom said she was making a "turkley" and I think it would be wonderful if she made one everyday! She told Rocky and me that if we were really good boys we might get a special treat with our dinner. So we tried all day to be really good, which is hard, because we're only about 9 months old! But we tried and tried.

Rocky kept trying to be in the room mom was in, and one time she scolded him for being "underfeet". I was sure that he had ruined our chances to get our special treat, so I told him to lay down and take a nap and dream about the wonderful days that we're going to have when we get our new home. I took a nap, too, and had the most wonderful dream. I was with a nice man and lady hooman and a smaller hooman too. The smaller hooman was a lot of fun and we played catch and chase. Sometimes we just sat next to each other and he would put his arm around me and talk to me.

He always called me "good boy Normie" and taught me things. Sometimes we would go for rides with the big hoomans in the car. And we didn't always go to the vet! It was wonderful! At night, I slept on the smaller hooman's bed, and I always tried to let him know I loved him.

Hey guess what! In my dream, I finally had my "nootie"! It wasn't so bad. I went to sleep and when I woke up they said "You're all done, Normie!" I was a little sore for a few days but I just slept a lot. Now I'm so proud that I got "nootied" and I can't make any other guys like me homeless.

When I woke up from my dream, mom was calling Rocky and me to come get our dinner. And there on top was something I'd never smelled before! It was white and oh my goodness, was it good!! Yum! I gobbled it up first and it made all the rest of my food taste wonderful. After dinner I stood by mom and wagged and wagged my tail to let her know how much I liked it and would like to have it every day. She patted my head and called me "good boy Normie", just like the little hooman in my dream!

I hurried back to my lay down place so I could dream some more about what my life was going to be like when I have my new home. That makes me so happy!!

Love, Normie
