One of my favorite things to do is look out the window with my brother Rocky. Last night we noticed that as it got darker outside there were pretty little lights on the houses up and down the road. Most were white, but some were red, green, and other colors. Watching the lights twinkle, I felt really calm and happy. Rocky kept saying that some of the lights looked like they were in the shape of a bone, and I told him he was being silly, though I secretly thought it looked like a bone too!
This afternoon our foster dad did the strangest thing. He brought a tree into the house! OH BOY, a TREE!! In the HOUSE!!! We were so excited because it MUST be for us to use! But he wagged his finger at us and said, "Oh, no, Rocky and Normie, don't even think about it! This is a Grrrrristmas tree!" It sounded important, and I could tell by the look he was giving us that it must be something important so I decided to just smell it from where I was standing. It sure smelled good. I went back to my lay down place and I could even smell it there. I fell asleep wondering why the tree was there and knowing that whatever the reason was, our foster mom and dad were always doing something that was fun for Rocky and me.
Love, Normie
