Smile! Say cheese!

Things have been going well. My skin still hurts a lot, but it doesn't itch as much as it used to. Rocky is a lot happier than I've ever seen him, and that makes me really happy. Our foster mom hooman says we're doing really well and are very sweet boys. She and the man that is there takes us for walks, gives us baths in warm water and feeds us. When I see them I feel all warm and happy and want to give them kisses. I think I'm in love!

Today the neatest thing happened! Another lady hooman came to see us. She had a silver thing that she pointed at us and it made clicking sounds. She did it to me first and I was afraid it would hurt, but it didn't. She kept saying "Smile, Normie, say cheese!" I had no idea what that meant, but I did my best to show her I liked her, especially when she patted me on the head and said I was a sweetie.

She did the same thing to Rocky, too. He looked sharp in his red bandana. She was nice to him too. She said he's not in as bad shape as me, and that I was special and needed a lot of help. I heard her tell our foster mom that she was going to do everything she could to find us wonderful homes with hoomans that will love us forever.

I decided that I like this lady hooman too. I took one last look at her before my foster mom took me back in the house and I think I saw water coming out of her eyes. It made me feel strange - happy and sad all at once. I like all these hoomans and hope I get to meet more of them.

For the first time in our lives, Rocky and I are finally safe.

Love, Normie
