Love at last

Finally our long ride ended and what a great place we went to! The nice lady hooman got us out of the car and there was another lady hooman there! She said "Welcome to your temporary home, Rocky and Normie!" I didn't know what temporary meant, but I think it must mean "great" because this was a great place!

We sniffed around a little and saw some other guys like us, except in different colors and sizes. They were all barking "hello" and "welcome" messages to us! The new hooman lady took us into a building that she said was her "house" the floors were soft and furry and some parts had pretty patterns. There was water to drink and food to eat and even special treats that she said would make us feel better. It was warm and dry, too. I like our new lady hooman friend, and Rocky's tail is wagging at top speed. She gave him a special red cloth to wear around his neck and he's parading around like he's a king or something!

There was a nice man hooman there too, and he told the lady we were stinky and we should have baths. Rats! it seemed we just got dry and warm and now we had to get wet all over again. But this time the water was warm and she was nice so even though my skin hurt a lot it felt kinda nice to be with her. She told us she was our "foster mom" and that she was going to take good care of us and she and her friends would find us a nice home. Actually, we really like this one! We can't imagine anything better than this place.

It looks like we might just be able to sleep well tonight, that is if our skin stops hurting so much.

Love, Normie
